Paper documents are not as easy to control as electronic documents. Once printed it is not possible to control their distribution and use.

This can include information about when the document was created, effectivity dates, the document's author, etc. Cimage NovaSoft GMP allows various forms of controlled printing, with customised banners and watermarks tailored to the specific document being printed.
